David
Van Rooyen

Originally from Durban and now based in Cape Town, David is in his third year studying Actuarial Science at UCT.

His modelling journey started when he was scouted at a mall during his first year of university, which led to a meeting with Sian and Matt. David was signed shortly after and placed internationally.

Away from modelling and university, you’ll most likely find him outdoors surfing or chasing big air on a kiteboard. What ties all of these interests together is his competitive streak. If something catches David’s attention, he wants to master it.

What David loves most about modelling is the side of himself it’s brought out. He enjoys meeting new people, getting to know the teams he works with, and seeing how everyone brings something different to a shoot.
